![]() Any comments on Avira?Īlso, I tried to install Malware Bytes, but it seems there is no longer a free version and the latest trial version doesn’t run on old Socket “A” CPU’s. ![]() Hence, I’ve been looking around on the Internet for what was available and with Nortons – MacAfee – AVG – Avast…, none of which I want a bar of, but there was Avira which I have never used and therefore know nothing about. If they catch anything, they have virtually crippled the computer doing so, especially if it’s an old Socket A XP machine. I was looking for a free one and it hit me that most of them, with the exception of Eset Nod, have pretty poor form. So far I haven’t reinstalled any Anti-Virus and the mate probably doesn’t need one. (It’s a Digitech USB 2 802.11N for those interested) Ok, well to show there was no ill feeling I uninstalled Avast using Revo Uninstaller and the Wi-Fi Dongle now works.
